2012 PHILANTHROPIC SUPPORT

In 2012, DELTA contributed nearly $28,000 to the Fisher House™ Foundation, a charity that assists U.S. military personnel and their families. The program ensures that there is at least one Fisher House™ at every major military medical center to assist military families in need and to provide them with the comforts of home in a supportive environment. For the past three years, DELTA has sponsored the very successful Car Show for the Troops, the proceeds of which benefitted the Fisher House™ Foundation.

In 2011 DELTA, for the first time, has designated a second corporate philanthropy. The Wounded Warrior Project™ was selected by DELTA employees as a "Philanthropy of the Year." The Wounded Warrior Project™ exists to honor and empower wounded warriors who incurred service-connected injures on or after September 11, 2001. By offering a variety of programs and services, WWP is equipped to serve warriors with every type of injury – from the physical to the invisible wounds of war.

In honor of fallen DELTA co-founder and chief operating officer Bob Elseth, DELTA is a sponsor of the Pentagon Memorial Fund, which is dedicated to building and maintaining a permanent memorial on the grounds of the Pentagon. Elseth, a Naval Reserve Office, was on active duty in the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, when Flight 77 crashed into the building. He was killed in this attack and posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.
