Employee Trust in the Workplace is the leading factor for great workplaces

Alexandria, VA - For the third consecutive year, DELTA Resources Inc. has been honored on the Great Place to Work® Rankings: 2012 Best Small & Medium Workplaces. DELTA has been ranked 19th as a medium business on the list which is a jump up the charts from DELTA’s 23rd in 2010 and 25th in 2011 while they were still a small business. The rankings were announced October 25, 2012 by FORTUNE magazine. This annual list recognizes companies that have exceptional workplace cultures. Now in its ninth year, the competition is divided into two categories, Small (50-250 employees) and Medium (251-999 employees).

DELTA was selected among hundreds of companies vying for a place on the list this year. Applicant companies opt to participate in the selection process, which includes an employee survey and an in-depth questionnaire about their programs and company practices. Great Place to Work® then evaluates each application using its unique methodology based on five dimensions: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.

Creators of the list, Great Place to Work® has found that employees believe they work for great organizations when they consistently trust the people they work for, have pride in what they do and enjoy the people they work with.

DELTA CEO Maria Proestou says, “As president of DELTA Resources, I am honored and thrilled that DELTA is recognized on the 2012 Rankings. Ensuring a supportive and rewarding work environment has always been and continues to be one of DELTA’s objectives.”

DELTA’s selection as a Great Place to Work follows its recognition in June 2012 by SmartCEO® magazine for being one of the 100 Best-Run Companies. This prestigious accolade honored 100 companies that have experienced consistent growth and are leaders within their industries. “The Best Small & Medium Workplace list grows more competitive every year and this list represents the best of the best,” said Susan Lucas-Conwell, Global Chief Executive Officer of Great Place to Work®. “While each company is unique, what they have in common are strong cultures that support positive workplaces.”

Organizations named on the list see many benefits that include better financial performance, less employee turnover, higher levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, more innovative and creative thinking, higher productivity and enhanced public perception.
